MainEvents

HackSoc run a variety of events for both members and non-members.

There are both regular and irregular events, and academic and social events (handled by the Academic Events Officer and Social Secretary respectively).

Current events

Virtual Games and Cake (Friday, fortnightly), the online adaptation of Boardgames and Cake where members play online games like Jackbox and Uno.

Film Night (Friday, fortnightly) is a social event watching a film voted for online.

Talks are irregular events where members, alumni or industry professionals discuss a computer science-related topic.

Events temporarily suspended due to COVID-19

Boardgames and Cake (Friday, fortnightly) is a social event involving boardgames and cake, as the name suggests.

CoffeeScript (Wednesday, weekly) is a social event where conversation occurs over lunch.

HackPub (Tuesday, fortnightly) is a social event in a pub, often attended by alumni.

Workshops are occasional events where the committee and members teach new skills to others of varying levels.

Past events

HackTogether was a social event to collaborate on projects after the conclusion of CoffeeScript.
